I performed an SEO audit through my agency, EZER Creative, for Community Credit Union’s property, myccu.org, pinpointing crucial enhancements including adding meta descriptions, boosting load speed, and optimizing keyword rankings through improved on-page elements and internal linking.
These updates were designed to enhance the website’s visibility and user experience as part of a larger initiative to increase CCU’s presence on the SERP.
In the SEO audit for myccu.org, several key findings were identified. The audit confirmed that all domain variations correctly redirected to the canonical version, ensuring consistency. The site crawl discovered 310 known URLs, with a mix of internal and external links, and a significant number of backlinks. Notably, the brand name search rank was strong, with “Community Credit Union” ranking first and “CCU” ranking second. However, many pages lacked meta descriptions, crucial for search engine optimization. Additionally, load speed issues were noted, particularly with large CSS files affecting both mobile and desktop performance.
The audit also highlighted areas for improvement, including the need to add meta descriptions and subheaders, optimize on-page elements, and enhance load speed. Recommendations included completing Google Search Console setup, addressing Google indexing issues, and leveraging internal links to boost keyword rankings. The audit also advised repairing broken external links and creating content based on competitor keywords. These changes aim to improve the website’s visibility, user experience, and overall SEO performance.
